Chris enrolled in The Workforce Connection’s youth program Elevate in February 2025. Since then, he earned his GED through GoodGrads and attended the CEJA program. His goal is to become a Computer Information Systems Specialist. Chris used TWC funding to attend IT classes at Rock Valley College while completing his Work Experience in Goodwill’s IT Department, gaining hands-on IT practice. He contributed to the IT team setting up the Excel Center and worked on the Customer Support Team. Chris consistently received positive feedback from his supervisor, management, and peers.
Chris shares that all the programs he participated in through TWC’s Elevate Program and Goodwill have been his most positive experience so far. The encouragement, kindness, and support have been wonderful.
